چکیده

The scarcity of surface water has led to the use underground sources as an alternative for crop irrigation by farmers in semi-arid regions. However, these generally have high salinity, which prevents agricultural production. objective this study was determine effects pre-germination treatments with plant growth regulators and bioactivators on melon seeds attenuate salt stress caused during germination seedling development. Two trials were carried out separately hybrids, Goldex Grand Prix. design completely randomized a 4 × 3 factorial scheme (four seed three dilutions water). Seeds treated salicylic acid gibberellic insecticide, thiamethoxam, addition control. Local supply water, artesian well groundwater, dilution waters at 1:1 ratio employed irrigation. Fourteen days after sowing, morphological physiological analyses performed, material collected biochemical determination. saline affected initial development seedlings Prix hybrids. Pre-germination treatment hybrid inefficient mitigating stress. salinity pretreated thiamethoxam attenuated.

Response of Germination and Seedling Growth of Pepper cultivars to Seed Priming by Plant Growth Regulators

In order to study the germination and growth of pepper seeds, a factorial experiment based on a completely randomized design with three replications was conducted. The first factor was consisting of five cultivars of pepper (Marquiza, Cadia, California Wonder, California Wonder 310 and California Wonder 300) and the second factor was gibberellic acid with three levels (0 as control, 250 and 500...

The Interaction Effects of Boron and Plant Growth Regulators on Pollen Germination of Almond

The aim of this study was to determine the effects of different plant growth regulators, NAA (0 mg/l, 50 mg/l and 100 mg/l) and GA3 (0 mg/l, 50 mg/l and 100 mg/l), with various boron concentrations (0 mg/l, 50 mg/l and 100 mg/l) on pollen germination of ‘Şaba’, ‘Rabie’ and ‘Padre’ almond cultivars in 10% sucrose and 1% agar medium at 24°C in dark conditions. The results showed that different tr...

Pretreatment with H2O2 in maize seeds: effects on germination and seedling acclimation to salt stress

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of H2O2 on germination and acclimation of maize plants subject to salt stress. Three experiments using BRS3003 seeds, a triple hybrid of maize, were carried out in a growth room and in greenhouse. In the first experiment, H2O2 accelerated the germination percentage of seeds at 100 mM, but not at 500 mM. In the second experiment, the pretreatment...

نقش باکتری‌های محرک رشد و اسید سالیسیلیک بر جوانه‌زنی بذر و رشد گیاهچه خربزه (Cucumis melo) تحت تنش شوری

Extended abstract Introduction: Using of plant growth regulators is one of the methods can improve plant growth against environmental stresses such as salinity. Salicylic acid plays an important role in physiological processes regulation, including germination. Today, using of growth promoting bacteria has been increased and it causes to raise the seed vigor, uniformity, germination percentage...

Response in germination and seedling growth in Phaseolus mungo under salt and drought stress.

The effect of salt and drought stress at the water potentials of-2, -4,-6and -8 bars induced by NaCl and PEG 6000 (Polyethylene glycol 6000) each, on germination and early seedling growth, were investigated for two varieties (PU-19 and Type-9). Electrical conductivity (EC) value of the NaCl solutions were 4.5, 8.8, 12.7 and 16.3 dS m(-1). Germination percentage, root and shoot length, and seedl...
